Following their original partnership in May, Givenchy and Disney have paired up once more for a whole new capsule collection to commemorate The Walt Disney Company's 100th anniversary. Madelaine Petsch and Alton Mason from Riverdale will star in the campaign.
The collection marks the Lunar New Year and features Oswald the Lucky Rabbit donning a selection of jackets, hoodies, jeans, and graphic t-shirts. In reality, Matthew M. Williams, the creative director of Givenchy, created the character's "unique globe tour," which takes him from New York and Paris to Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Tokyo.
A vivid red varsity jacket, a button-down with a bandana print, and patchwork denim pieces in the form of a jacket and jeans are just a few of the collection's standout items. The capsule also includes a variety of fun accessories, such cardholders, caps, and co-branded Disney x Givenchy totes.
Disney and Givenchy have produced a mixed-reality short film in honor of the collection, working with Julian Klincewicz, an art director and photographer, and the Walt Disney Animation Studios. The production, which stars Madelaine Petsch, Amber Liu, and Alton Mason, travels to Shanghai, New York, Paris, and Tokyo.
Starting on December 16, customers can purchase items from the Disney x Givenchy capsule collection in China, Singapore, and at the brand's pop-up shop in Tokyo Ikebukuro. The line will also debut on December 19 at the Miami Aventura pop-up shop, and it will be offered for sale on Givenchy's website starting on December 30 everywhere else.
